Speech Pathology services are available to individuals who are privately funded, or using self-managed or plan-managed NDIS funding. Medicare rebates and private health insurance rebates may also be available for eligible private paying clients. For NDIS-funded services, fees are in line with the 2026/2027 NDIS Pricing Schedule.

Fees vary depending on appointment length and location. Travel time may apply for mobile appointments, with travel charges based on time. We do our best to minimise travel where possible and are committed to keeping pricing fair and equitable. Overland Speech Therapy does not charge for kilometres travelled.

  • The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding to eligible people with disability to access supports that help them in their everyday lives, build independence and work towards their individual goals.

    The NDIS also connects people with disability to supports and services in their local community.

  • Northcott is the Early Childhood Partner for the Hunter Region. They deliver the NDIS early childhood approach (formerly called Early Childhood Early Intervention or ECEI).

    The early childhood approach supports children aged 0-9 years who have a developmental delay or disability and their families and carers.

  • People with chronic conditions and complex needs may be eligible for up to 5 Medicare rebated sessions for Allied Health services each year under the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan, previously known as Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan.

  • People who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander may be eligible for up to 5 Medicare rebated sessions for Allied Health services each year under the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) Allied Heath Services program.

  • Children and young people under 25 years with a complex neurodevelopmental condition or eligible disability may be eligible for Medicare rebates for Speech Pathology assessment, diagnosis and treatment services.

    This may include (but not limited to) children and young people with conditions such as autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, Fragile X syndrome, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), hearing loss, stuttering, speech sound disorder, or cleft lip and/or palate.

    Please speak with your paediatrician, psychiatrist or other eligible medical practitioner to find out whether you are eligible and whether a referral is appropriate.

  • Please check with your Private Health Fund to determine whether your cover entitles you to a rebate for Speech Pathology sessions.

  • The Better Access initiative gives Medicare rebates to eligible people, so they can access the mental health services they need. Rebates for up to 10 sessions per year may be available.

    Support is available from eligible general practitioners (GPs) and other medical practitioners, psychologists, social workers and occupational therapists. Please note that this cannot be used for Speech Pathology services.

  • Carers Allowance is a payment through Centerlink for people who give additional daily care to someone with a disability or medical condition.
